Roberto Romano was commissioned to make this ark of the covenant for the B’nai Jeshurun congregation in Manhattan, and hired me to fabricate mosaic panels that match the chapel they would be displayed in. We decided on a red to blue gradient, and I created the panels in my studio in Brooklyn while Roberto constructed the ark.
