Smalto, stone on panel

This mosaic was made for & named after my best friend, Carly Fehlberg. This is a concept I plan on exploring on a larger scale. I love working in three dimensions with mosaic, and making pieces that must be mosaic to have their character. So this idea was to have a stone “crater” in a field of sharp smalto to contrast planes and materials at the same time.
